iCBT helps you manage stress and anxiety whenever and wherever you need to.

Manage stress and anxieties with iCBT, a personal-use tool for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that is always with you when you need it.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been proven to be the most effective psychological therapy for a range of problems including PTSD, panic attacks, generalized anxiety, OCD, and some eating disorders, and is among the most effective for depression and some personality disorders.

CBT focuses on correcting distorted thinking patterns and altering behaviors to relieve self-defeating attitudes, reduce symptoms, and improve well-being. In "The Feeling Good Handbook", Dr. David Burns advocated a method for CBT to be used in day-to-day life that has been remarkably helpful to tens of thousands of people. iCBT is based on this work and gives you a way to easily perform self-CBT wherever you have your iPhone or iPad. iCBT does not require knowledge of Dr. Burns€™ techniques although previous experience or a brief reading is helpful. iCBT uses no network connection or cellular data and offers an instant delete for further privacy management.

Pros and cons of iCBT app for iPhone and iPad

iCBT app good for

This app runs through all the steps in a cbt thought record. It helps me alot You can customize it to some extent Thank you for this app
A little clunky moving from screen to screen. CBTreferee is better for this, but this is more comprehensive for the whole process.
This is the best CBT app for iPhone (Ive tried them all) but it could use the help of a graphic designer. iCBT needs to look at its target audience. People who require CBT often have ADD and other mood disorders like OCD. The UI is cluttered and prone to distract. Simplify the app and clean up the look and youll have something here worth pitching to all those CBT users out there. For five stars: More Apple like design. Support for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 4" screen. New icon please.
not perfect but very good and much easier than carrying around paper mood records
I find this app helpful, particularly because it has all the cognitive distortions listed.
This is a good CBT app. I would add two things. 1. The opportunity to rate my beliefs in the negative and rational thoughts if I choose. 2. The opportunity to indicate an outcome such as "The presentation went over well" to keep a log of successes despite the negative thoughts. Good app!

Some bad moments

Lots of strikes against this very good idea: unattractive, no directions, cannot add other emotions, and just kinda clunky. Would love to see an overhaul. Its only a matter of time before someone will do this better.
Not very helpful at all. No guidance and requires a working knowledge of CBT. Ways too expensive for what it does.
Id thought this would at LEAST contain SOME type of instruction, etc. I have a blank page that wants input. How do I know what to write? With the one-what I assume is a "sample", (which would pertain in NO way to me, being bedridden 95% of the time), it gives examples &choices to make. Uhm, I make up my own choices? Exactly WHAT did my 3.99 buy except some confusion & regret?
Its true that this app fills a gap in what apps are out there, but it doesnt even have the update needed to fit the iPhone 5 screen. Its a simple app - this should be a simple fix.
