Confidentiality reminder needed

I love the idea and the app. There needs to be an explicit reminder in the app reminding users that emailing results means sending private information in a non-secure way (that’s okay if that’s their choice). United States therapists who plan to respond to such emails need to have clients sign a HIPAA release permitting non-secure electronic communication.

The most useful app in my phone

I have used cbt techniques for years, but with this app i do them more consistently with better results. Though the interface and ux could use some improvement, it is definitely a highly functional MVP with solid code that doesnt crash or break down.

Really great app

This app is very helpful when needing to resolve any upset feelings that might come up. I first encountered this technique when reading David Burns book, "Feeling Good" over 10 years ago. It got me through a difficult time and I photo copied the worksheet pages from his book so I could use them when needed. I was thrilled to find this app which allows one to follow the technique anytime and anywhere. Thank you for creating this! I hope it will turn up as a Mac app too.

A lifesaver

iCBT is wonderful! It is easy to use, thorough and discreet, and helps me feel better in minutes. My favorite features are the thought categories, the email capability and I especially appreciate the password protection on the app. FWIW, I use the iPad version as well. Update: the new appraise interface is an improvement. Looks like I wont get lost in the process anymore.

Fantastic app

This app is fabulous for slowing down panicked feelings, identifying thought distortions - so helpful!

The Only App With CBT Logging the Right Way

I have been looking for an app that allows me to do my CBT writing the way I did it when I saw a CBT therapist. I have tried doing it with an Excel spreadsheet, writing in notebooks, using writing apps--but this is the best tool by far. Thank you!!

Simple, informative, useful

A quick and easy CBT tool. The app provides a way to view situations outside of self, acknowledge feelings, recognize the negative thinking that create those feelings, and then reframe. iCBT could not be easier to use and is a wonderful way to decrease automatic negative thoughts. It can also be used in conjunction with therapeutic CBT* to journal homework or by anyone who wants to improve automatic thoughts. *Anyone experiencing severe or debilitating negative thinking should always seek professional help.

Great and easy

I have struggled with severe anxiety. Years ago I read Dr. David Burns book "Feeling Good hand book" worked on it with my therapist and changed my outlook on life. This app makes it so I dont have to carry and notebook around with me. Now I can just open this app. You can also turn on password to lock the app. This is a great find.
